Jamie and I attended a little soirée in Montana yesterday…
We cleaned up pretty nicely…
The occasion? Our youngest son, Seth, got married.
The venue was a beautiful place called The Woodlands at Cottonwood Canyon.
The photographer was my dear friend/photography hero, John Blair, who traveled all the way from Arkansas for this wedding. (Side note: he also photographed my oldest son’s wedding nearly six years ago in Florida)
John’s wife, Trisha, is his invaluable assistant and also my dear friend. She was great company at dinner.
These young men showed up, and I nearly cried. High school friends with Seth, they spent nearly every weekend playing games at my dining room table. Love them!!
We met this lady, Margaret, who works in the physics department at MSU. No kidding, she is the reason Seth didn’t come home from Montana after his first semester there. Things looked bleak with his GPA, but Margaret got behind him and pushed him through. I’ve wanted to hug her neck for years and finally got to do so. (And buddy, she cut a rug the entire reception! She came with her dancing boots on!) We love her too!
It was a beautiful day, and my hair never looked better…I’ve been growing it just so I could wear it up at the wedding. I have an appointment Thursday to get it cut short.
We had a wonderful time, and it’s a great feeling to have both sons married.
Today we relax…
