I’m all in with the gritty mix. With the succulents pictured here, I’ve now replaced the soil in 97 pots.
There are still 25 pots holding 50+ succulents and cacti left to take apart and repot. Three of those are very large single succulent pots, three are large hanging baskets holding 8-10 different succulents each, and the others are large pots holding 2-3 succulents or cacti each. In short, much work remains. I’m on my third bag of poultry grit, and I’m using the last of my first bag of Floor Dry. Thankfully, I still have plenty of the Repti Bark (I ordered three bags) since it is the most expensive of the ingredients.
Hmmmmm....thinking as I type....I haven’t run any numbers, but now that I think about it, the poultry grit may actually be the most expensive ingredient to use, considering how much mix I can make with each bag. I’ll have to look in to that.
