Peas And Carrots

On March 11, 2007, a whirlwind named Hollie came in to our home. About four months old, she was only supposed to be here a couple of days. I wanted to keep her; I told Jamie I wanted Seth to have a puppy to grow up with. We were sitting out in the swing one evening watching her romp in the yard, and Jamie said, "She looks like an Ollie." Welp, Seth and I knew at that moment she was here to stay.

Good thing she was cute, because she was a terror. OMGosh, was she a terror! 2007

From the get-go, Seth loved her. He was her Pappy, and she was his girl. They were like peas and carrots together. 2007

She adored him as much as he adored her. 2007

They did grow up together. 2009

Somewhere along the way, she became a sweet girl. Still sassy with an I-Do-What-I-Want, but at least she quit chewing up expensive items around the house....items like scuba diving flippers.

Today--July, 2021. She's a little old lady now, fragile and sweet. When did that happen?

She's in congestive heart failure now, and we know time is precious. Seth & Faith are coming back for Christmas, and we hope she'll be here to greet her Pappy.

But we know and have peace that she's lived a wonderful life.

What an amazing little dog, a one-of-a-kind.
